Tokyo cops: Shimbashi club ripped-off customers with watered-down drinks

Following complaints of overcharging, Tokyo Metropolitan Police have busted a hostess club operating in the Shimbashi district of Minato Ward, reports TV Asahi (Jan. 15).

Officers arrested four employees at Second Class, including Toshihiro Kakamu, 23, after charging 4,000 yen for a glass of white wine watered down with jasmine tea.

Well yeah, but watering down customer's wine takes things to a new level. I mean you can argue that the ambience, stimulation and company are as promised and the customer agreed to pay for it. But if you present a drink as wine and you have diluted it with jasmine tea then that's actually a far harder proposition to argue. You clearly sold it as one thing when in fact clearly it was another. Or in fact adulterated - I hate jasmine tea and all such. Even Earl grey. Even coffee with vanilla in it.

Hey I love jasmin tea. I literally drink the stuff 24/7. So much that before i was buying coke bulk and driving back with the whip scrapping the road (f'cking Note could barely reach the 40 speed limit on the wayback uphill) while now I'm barely at 2 bottles a month.

However, if the girls push for something better and you pay a lot more for it, most guys expect it to be what they paid for and based on how drunk I've seen the girls get when I've been to clubs with guys who really throw down it often is.

Not my thing either but I work in sales at a Japanese company and mostly socialize with Japanese guys so I occasionally end up at those places. At lot less recently though. I think most people have finally realize I'm not into it and have stopped inviting me. All the hostesses I've hooked up with I've met when they weren't working.

I have to second that accusation, BTW, and I don't even care and quite enjoy being regaled with all the tales. I think I used to too, but it eventually just wears you out, and other than my one true Ex none were ever really worth it, though that dirty dirty makeup sex is pretty cool, especially with the kit and the toys. He says, as he prepares to try to date a 28 year old that seems to lack confidence or self-belief......she doesn't seem drama hungry, though. Just a bit wishy washy about things.
