You mean engine braking switch ?
Aren't these stuff standard on anything diesel ?
Even a D:5 di-d have auto fuel cut off and use engine compression braking...

It was a MITSUBISHI FUSO AERO BUS - specifically this model , the AEROQUEEN I ... the KL-MS86/85 which apparently has drum brakes (which heat up faster than disc brakes) ... Wedge Air Brakes by AxelTech. ... and while it apparently had engine brakes , the report from Nagano Police indicated they found the bus with its transmission in neutral, so that engine braking could not have been activated. If the engine was a 8M21-3 (430PS) type, then it would have had a permanent magnet type retarder...

I'm not saying there is , but if there were anything regarding fault on the part of Mitsubishi FUSO (notice how infrequently their name and the model name of the crashed bus appears in media accounts? Same reason why when watching ISIS or Al-Qaeda drive their trucks around shooting their guns etc., in Japan we never see TOYOTA's trademark. ) ... unless it's a glaring issue, we are unlikely to hear of it. Not even questions like whether disc brakes might have been a preferable standard or whether all their disclosures on brake system improvements were forthright...

Coligny, this seems to be an informative post from Takechan, so I do not see the problem.

Let's be honest. Japanese buses are based on '70s technology. Most long distance buses in Europe have been fully automatic since the '90s if not earlier. Semi-automatic transmissions were introduced in the late '60s.

If this bus were manual transmission, it's entirely possible it jumped into neutral as a result of the crash.

Time for japan to discover the chronotachygraph...

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tachograph

By now we'd know everything needed... But that kind of stuff is usually not popular in corporatist states, they would also surely fish out some insane privacy law protecting the drivers right to be a complete moron...

Sooo... F1 still exists...

Wait...

He added: “Formula 1 for Renault is the history of the Alpine. It is at the centre of our business, we have been participating in the great circus for 43 years."

True...

Alpine made a F1 in the 70’ or 80’... I think they even tried to start the engine...

UNC course says WWII was 'Japan's attempt to roll back Euro-American colonialism'
https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3 ... ts#comment
The University of North Carolina is offering a class called "Global Whiteness," which involves student presentations on Trump and interracial hookups on campus.
Campus Reform obtained the fall 2021 syllabus, covers the concept of race since the 19th century, but also contains what appears to be revisionist narratives of American history, specifically World War II.
Specifically, the syllabus appears to place blame for the Pacific Theater on America and the West. The course overview describes World War II in the Pacific as "the first global attack on white Anglo-American hegemony" and "Japan's attempt to roll back Euro-American colonialism."
