Okay. I am certainly not worried about my heathen brethrens' safety in the wilds of Western Europe, but it was much more visible (well, audible) than at home when I was in Scotland, but I am happy to think most are happy to let others be happy regardless of how they might choose to be happy.

Happy?

Were they Scottish nationalist types? I've noticed a strain among the nationalists that see anti-Scottish conspiracies everywhere which of course means the Jews are involved.

I can only speak for the Netherlands and the European countries I traveled to, and I have never seen an antisemitic incident. In the Dutch press some incidents have been reported, but it is quite rare. Rather, any such incident is treated with contempt in public opinion.

That nice Mr Trump's favourite leader is in a spot of bother it seems. Though it won't come to anything because Daesh/Syria.

The former Russian spy Alexander Litvinenko was probably murdered on the personal orders of Vladimir Putin, the UK public inquiry into his death has found.

Litvinenko, who died from radioactive poisoning in a London hospital in November 2006, was killed by two Russian agents, Andrei Lugovoi and Dmitry Kovtun, the inquiry report said. There was a “strong probability” they were acting on behalf of the Russian FSB secret service, the report added.

Sir Robert Owen, the inquiry chair, said that taken as a whole the open evidence that had been heard in court amounted to a “strong circumstantial case” that the Russian state was behind the assassination.

But when he took into account all the evidence available to him, including a “considerable quantity” of secret intelligence that was not aired in open court, he found “that the FSB operation to kill Mr Litvinenko was probably approved by [Nikolai] Patrushev [head of the security service in 2006] and also by President Putin”.

Come on. The polonium affair link with Vlad P was never really hidden. It has even been subjected that the so obvious method used was just a public way for Vlad to tell the world nobody can escape him.

Can any of you assassination experts tell me why polonium was used and not a more run-of-the-mill poison?

Not an expert, but possibly because polonium is relatively safe to handle ... until it is ingested.

not so sure...

Polonium is highly dangerous and has no biological role.[17] By mass, polonium-210 is around 250,000 times more toxic than hydrogen cyanide (the LD50 for 210Po is less than 1 microgram for an average adult (see below) compared with about 250 milligrams for hydrogen cyanide[66]). The main hazard is its intense radioactivity (as an alpha emitter), which makes it very difficult to handle safely. Even in microgram amounts, handling 210Po is extremely dangerous, requiring specialized equipment (a negative pressure alpha glove box equipped with high performance filters), adequate monitoring, and strict handling procedures to avoid any contamination. Alpha particles emitted by polonium will damage organic tissue easily if polonium is ingested, inhaled, or absorbed, although they do not penetrate the epidermis and hence are not hazardous as long as the alpha particles remain outside the body. Wearing chemically resistant and "intact" gloves is a mandatory precaution to avoid transcutaneous diffusion of polonium directly through the skin. Polonium delivered in concentrated nitric acid can easily diffuse through inadequate gloves (e.g., latex gloves) or the acid may damage the gloves.[67]

It has been reported that some microbes can methylate polonium by the action of methylcobalamin.[68][69] This is similar to the way in which mercury, selenium and tellurium are methylated in living things to create organometallic compounds. Studies investigating the metabolism of polonium-210 in rats have shown that only 0.002 to 0.009% of polonium-210 ingested is excreted as volatile polonium-210.[70]

Russian Shenanigans

I guess that means the Russian agent(s) who dumped a load of polonium in the victim's tea, at a restaurant, must have died too. And of course anyone who subsequently handled the teacup.

Russian Shenanigans

Postby Yokohammer » Fri Jan 22, 2016 12:34 pm

Well yeah, if there's any chance of the stuff being ingested or inhaled by other people they're going to want to make sure the place is clean. But nobody else got sick or died, that I know of (mind you, I'm really not very knowledgeable about this particular case ... just running on faulty memory).

Edit: another possible reason is "slow acting".

Not just employees but also customers. I know because a friend of mine worked in the area, ate lunch at the restaurant regularly, and had to be tested. He was definitely sweating the results till he came back clear.

Since the stuff is supposedly so hard hard to get I guess one reason to use polonium would be to let your enemies know it was you without actually admitting it.

Alexander Litvinenko: The Kremlin Pedophile
By Alexander Litvinenko
July, 05, 2006
Chechen Press
Nov. 26, 2006

This article was written by Alexander Litvinenko four months before his assassination.

http://www.informationliberation.com/?id=18244
http://archive.is/n3lIl

A few days ago, Russian President Vladimir Putin walked from the Big Kremlin Palace to his Residence. At one of the Kremlin squares, the president stopped to chat with the tourists. Among them was a boy aged 4 or 5.

'What is your name?' Putin asked.

'Nikita,' the boy replied.

Putin kneed, lifted the boy's T-shirt and kissed his stomach.

Image

The world public is shocked. Nobody can understand why the Russian president did such a strange thing as kissing the stomach of an unfamiliar small boy.

The explanation may be found if we look carefully at the so-called "blank spots" in Putin's biography.

After graduating from the Andropov Institute, which prepares officers for the KGB intelligence service, Putin was not accepted into the foreign intelligence. Instead, he was sent to a junior position in KGB Leningrad Directorate. This was a very unusual twist for a career of an Andropov Institute's graduate with fluent German. Why did that happen with Putin?

Because, shortly before his graduation, his bosses learned that Putin was a pedophile. So say some people who knew Putin as a student at the Institute.

The Institute officials feared to report this to their own superiors, which would cause an unpleasant investigation. They decided it was easier just to avoid sending Putin abroad under some pretext. Such a solution is not unusual for the secret services.

Many years later, when Putin became the FSB director and was preparing for presidency, he began to seek and destroy any compromising materials collected against him by the secret services over earlier years. It was not difficult, provided he himself was the FSB director. Among other things, Putin found videotapes in the FSB Internal Security Directorate, which showed him making sex with some underage boys.

Interestingly, the video was recorded in the same conspiratorial flat in Polyanka Street in Moscow where Russian Prosecutor-General Yuri Skuratov was secretly video-taped with two prostitutes. Later, in the famous scandal, Putin (on Roman Abramovich's instructions) blackmailed Skuratov with these tapes and tried to persuade the Prosecutor-General to resign. In that conversation, Putin mentioned to Skuratov that he himself was also secretly video-taped making sex at the same bed. (But of course, he did not tell it was pedophilia rather than normal sex.) Later, Skuratov wrote about this in his book Variant Drakona (p.p. 153-154).

Yes, Mother Russia is a great nation. The more they stand their ground and don't bend over backward to the so-called "leaders of the free world", the more I respect them (except for the war, though; killergangstery never gets my respect, no matter who does it and why).

I wonder, how Steven Seagull got that passport. And whether Russia allows multiple citizenships. My half European bastard pissport is still handy enough that I wouldn't want to lose it. But living in Yakutia or Siberia is a dream, seeing them a point on my unfinished bucket list.

You're very right. The gangster capitalists need to walk the plank (i.e. emigrate to the UK). If the EU joined the CIS and dumped NATO, that would make for a really nice world super power with free health care. And blocked Facebook; pricelss!

The eu need to be destroyed as well as nato.
The only purpose of the eu is to allow polish plumbers and romanian prostitutes to work in first world countries while getting paid with potato bags or whatever currency they use back home.
And We don’t need to be allied to germany, we need these bastards to be turned into a dmz glass parking lot to solve this issue once and for all. Might also need to carpet bomb Alsace to be sure.

Hmm OK, I see what you mean. Could we agree on the reinstatement of the old Roman Empire maybe? Not the "Holy Roman Empire of German Nation" toy, no no the real one, say when Cleopatra ran the show and messed around with whoever played emperor (and cats were deities)? The borders could be flexible, e.g. to the east down to Iran?

To-do list: Get rid of daylight savings time, reinstate the Julian calendar, reinstate slavery, junk electricity, cars, computers, airplanes, concrete, modern medicine and rockets, persecute the Christians (the Muslims didn't exist anyway), and render America re-undiscovered (de-construct it, repopulate the bison, give the land back to its original owners). Similar for Australia and Antarctica.

All that would remain is to elect Berlus.. a new Roman Emperor of choice and this planet could be the comfiest place after Garden Eden. I'd vote for it!

Nah, keep electricity, Cleopatra and the cat religion thing (which de facto exist anyway, just need temples for proper worshipping)
But just rollback to the treaty of Verdun from 843.

And nuke the krauts… definitely nuke the krauts…

Ah, I am not sure about bringing back Cleo. Seems to have been a fickle bitch. And with all that snake poison in her body, I don't think reviving her would make her more malleable. I'd let her lie, there are enough power-hungry unscrupulous cuties that we could choose from.

I'd also not nuke the Germans. They are big and strong, make good slaves and soldiers for Rome. And they know how to cook weisswurst and how to brew beer the right way. Good quality slaves, we need them.
