Damn - there was a freaky MJ movie on cable last night - it creeped me out. Totally B-A-D acting and had MJ with a bunch of underage sleuths. Didn't hang around long enough to find out the name of the movie as it was just too creepy to watch.

I saw this creepy MJ wannabee in two seperate occasions recently in Roppongi. He dresses like Mike, and *tries* to dance like Mike... I remember in both occasions that there was a 3m (15ft for you non-metrics) radius of open space around him as people were freaked out.

I swear MJ needs to be buried in 2009 and not recessitate him in 2010.

So in the future can we watch the MJ impersonators vying for space every Sunday with the Elvis group in Yoyogi?

Among other things. But i suppose if you had gotten a large enough settlement for not going to court....

Michael Jackson must have been rolling in his grave last night when I watched a group of Japanese high school students on TV do the "Thriller" dance to "Billie Jean." How do manage to screw it up that badly?
I am not really sure where I am going, I just hope that when I get there, I can sit down because I am sure my feet will be tired.

Well, when an Engrish teacher can't put together a proper sentence...

Aww fuck, I was hungover when I wrote that. I didn't care whether it was proper or not. I don't point out when other people here make writing mistakes so why do you?

I think the point is that if you're gonna run smack on the ineptness of some dancers who can't even do a good job at what they do best, you should at least be able to counter it with "What I do best, I do well (goodly)."

First of all, when have I ever said I was good at writing English? I've made too many careless mistakes to make that claim, thankfully, my classes focus on conversational English, not writing. Secondly, there is a huge difference between dancing on national television for millions of viewers and writing on a internet post that gets a few dozen readers. And third, I hate being an English teacher and as soon as my contract runs out you will never find me in front of a classroom again.

You were pointing out the mistakes of others while making a mess out of something yourself.

I guess you're just another example of why Japan's English education system is a complete and utter failure.

I am not a professional English teacher, I just play one in Japan.

This is going over great with the #OscarsSoWhite crowd.

Apparently MJ has been brought back to life by Joseph Fiennes.

On Tuesday, when the bizarre news broke that white British actor Joseph Fiennes was cast to play black American superstar Michael Jackson in a “9/11 road trip comedy”, it seemed as if Hollywood had learned nothing from the #OscarsSoWhite uproar which has arisen in the wake of the Motion Picture Academy nominating only white actors for Oscars this year.

The internet has been ablaze questioning the wisdom of Fiennes going forth to play the King of Pop in Elizabeth, Michael and Marlon, the tale of an alleged road trip taken by Jackson, Elizabeth Taylor and Marlon Brando after the attacks on the World Trade Center in 2001. But according to the British production cable channel Sky Arts, the casting is a done deal, as the half-hour comedy was shot last year. Though a story surfaced this week quoting Fiennes as if he just received the script “the other day”, the project is already in post-production.

Insipid as it all sounds and as bad as the timing is it's probably one of those Little Britain style "clever for plebs" parodies, and surely the man himself would have been over the moon to have been played by an actor from his preferred race?

The other question is how many black actors are there who resemble post op Mike?

Yes, that's a good point. BTW, according to the comments section of that article it was "a biological conditon" I admit I kind of like watching the white skinned Negro Action lobby get all up in arms about something so stupid. The Oscars protest I sort of get, even if it was started by actors and actresses that couldn't win a gold star at a school Christmas play.

 I wonder how much makeup and prosthetics will be required, even on a white dude.
