Does that distinction need to be satisfied? Doesn't that depend on which side you're on?

Terrorists consider civilians legitimate targets because they have failed to oppose whatever system the terrorist is opposed to.

Freedom fighters consider civilians collateral damage who get run over on the road to the greater good of the freedom fighter.

My personal opinion is terrorists are cunts who like posing with guns and killing unarmed people because they are cunts.

So it is not really the War on Terror, it is the War on Cunts. The Anti-misogyny League is not going to be happy.

Nicely put. I prefer "cunts" to "clowns" just because cunts do bad stuff whereas clowns are just scary. Not as scary as The Childcatcher, but still. Besides, calling successful terrorists clowns seems like empty bravado, and it's rude to clowns. These American cunts might have been a touch clownish about it all, but 16 people dead isn't much to laugh about even if they had done it dressed as clowns. Which they didn't, even though clown terrorists would be really scary.

PS Are there still people that think the word cunt refers to ladies' bits? Who but a slatternly cad would ever do that?

Yeah, but the balls drive the pounding.

Samurai_Jerk wrote:'Radicalized' California shooter had terror ties

San Bernardino (United States) (AFP) - A US-born Muslim who along with his wife gunned down 14 people in California may have been radicalized and had been in contact with known terrorism suspects, reports said.

The FBI, which has cautioned it was too early to link the attack to terrorism, has taken charge of the investigation into Wednesday's mass shooting in San Bernardino.

Agents were combing through evidence to determine what prompted Syed Farook, 28, and his 27-year-old Pakistani wife Tashfeen Malik to carry out the rampage that also left 21 people wounded.

Law enforcement officials quoted by The New York Times said the FBI was treating the shooting as a potential terrorist act, but the agency was far from concluding it was and the motive remains unclear.

CNN, quoting officials, said Farook had been in contact with known terror suspects overseas and had become radicalized after marrying Malik in Saudi Arabia last year, although an imam at a local mosque he attended said Farook showed no signs of that.

[...]

Some of the reasons pushing authorities to believe Wednesday's shooting may be terror-related included the astonishing arsenal the couple had amassed, their foreign travels, and the fact that they appeared to have meticulously planned the attack.

"There was obviously a mission here," David Bowdich, the assistant FBI director in charge of the Los Angeles office said, in the wake of the killings at a holiday party for county employees at a social services center.

"We don't know if this was the intended target or if there was something that triggered him to do this immediately."

San Bernardino police chief Jarrod Burguan said Farook and his wife -- who dropped off their six-month-old daughter with Farook's mother shortly beforehand -- fired about 150 bullets inside the Inland Regional Center and during a subsequent shootout with police that left both dead, after a huge manhunt.

He said investigators had found an additional 5,000 rounds of ammunition at the couple's home along with 12 pipe bombs and bomb-making material.

"Nobody just gets upset at a party, goes home and puts together that kind of elaborate scheme," Burguan said, referring to indications that Farook had attended the party and left following a dispute, only to return a short time later with Malik.

Since January 2015 it has been a complete circus, intel service taken with their pants down more times than a cherry boy in a spanish bordello. I'm surprised that anyone still have their jobs with this kind of results. For 9/11 it took them weeks before deploying crotale sam batteries around nukaplant and strategic buildings instead of... overnight...
at least this time it only took few hours...

From what I read it does have 2 useful effects: it might catch one of the donkeys if they have gone to ground close to the attack point and are waiting to drift out with the crowds, and it restores a sense of security in the general public, which helps prevents panics and stampedes and even vigilante attacks (aren't there a lot of obvious Allah Loompas in Belgium?). But you could well be right and it is all just a big show by boys in uniforms wanting to play army.

At any rate, it's terribly sad to hear such attacks have sprouted in Brussels, and RIP to those lost.

The Swiss, as usual, don't fuck around when it comes to national security. Geneva airport revoked all airside passes of muslim personnel in the wake of the Paris attacks. And also mentioned in the article:

Roissy airport outside Paris announced it had withdrawn access passes from 57 employees suspected of radicalisation.

Exactly. Who needs any lectures from the Swiss? And who would want to live in a society like that?

Unfortunately, this would be true for most of Europe (and rest of world) nowadays. There is not only the Swiss SVP et al, but also the UKIP, the French Front National, Dutch Partij voor de Vrijheid, the German AfD and NPD and lots of other ~brownies running about.

I am glad that I am old and won't have to live in a world like that for much longer...

Last time the Front National went too successful in a major election the country stopped dead with demonstration every day of the week and his opponent in the second turn was elected with 82% of the votes...

Today what remains of the party is drowning in family feud between 2 blondes dumber than a pile of rocks and the senile grand'pa...

The wolves are nowhere near Paris or Vichy and the Lion of Denfert is not shaking...

Well, here's to you health. We need to keep the good ones around as long as possible. And yes, you are right and I find it infuriating that these witless loser boring wankers are being pandered to more and more. As in sacking all muslims employed at airports, imposing immigration restrictions that divide families and holding a referendum on the subject of continued EU membership. These people need to be told to fuck off and get a life before they ruin ours.

If your political views or religous affiliations make you a security risk, even a perceived one, there is no problem in reversing the burden of proof as to why you think you deserve to have a security clearance. If you can't, you have no business working in a high-risk environment or with sensitive materials or information. Funny thing that, by the way... reversing the burden of proof is also a useful tool shutting up religious idiots who can't seem to keep their beliefs to themselves and demand that everyone else provides them with proof of the non-existence of their god and facilitate their beliefs if they can't.

These measures are not actions in a vacuum, they are a reaction to what people see everyday as they go about their lives. Ever since 9/11 and even before that, we have had 2nd/3rd generation immigrant kids in schools cheering and celebrating as news of any terrorist attack breaks, and people shouting "Allah Ackbar" during moments of silence and purposefully causing other disturbances just to upset the locals. If they really want our trust and our respect, the way they are raising their children to behave in this way is not helping their case very much, don't you agree? And any comparison of the current political environment in Europe to the Jewish persecution before and during WWII is just laughable when you consider the blatant antisemitic attitudes commonly found with our musulman brothers. It's time they take some resonsiblity for the state of their own lives instead of always blaming the jews and the white man for their problems. I know for a fact that they can if they really want to... in the more general sense, it's time we stop treating immigrants as if they are children who have no agency or accountability.

As for rolling in sexual orientation with your argument, this is most definitely not a choice someone makes. As you no doubt know, most people belonging to the two largest belief systems in the world firmly believe that it is, though, and that it is something that people can be "cured" of. This is just another example of how wrong the politically correct opinions wrt aggressively religious folks generally are.
