DOCOMO | APN open.mopera.net

Postby Isle of View » Thu Apr 14, 2016 4:35 pm

So I rented a SIM for my unlocked Android (5.1) LG G4 mobile from Global Advanced Communications.

I've mobile phone from them before with no issues.

However, it is becoming quickly apparent that they are weak when it comes to tech support.

Following their instructions:

1/ Network Mode
Peferred network mode: WCDMA only

2/ Access Point Names
Set up APN for data services

Name: GAC

APN: open.mopera.net

[No other changes made]

[Saved new above APN]

4/ Network operators
Select network operator

[Search networks returned the DOCMO network]

JP DOCOMO
RAT: WCDMA

[Selected the above network operator]

Message:

"Registering on JP DOCOMO"

Returned message:

"Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network"

Bollocks.

Looking at the APN setting, there are a look of other setting that be selected or values entered.
Proxy
Port
Server
MMSC
MMS Proxy
MMS Port
MCC: 440
MNC: 10
Authentication Type
APN Type
APN Protocol
APN Roaming Protocol

Can f*ckedgaijin knowledgeable in the telephony arts assist? Would be most appreciated.

No clues... (as usual)

But
1/ Network Mode
Peferred network mode: WCDMA only

I'd leave that to "auto" if possible

Double check that the card has been activated...

and look for a step 3...

Then blame the phone for not being hallal...
i mean... unlocked phone in japan... it's haram as fuck... starfoullah...

What network does Global Communications claim you can use? Is it DoCoMo? If not DoCoMo, then who?
It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Our SIM cards support factory unlocked Android phones.
There is some problem.
If You buy a locked (Not SIM free) Android phone, then ask the company to unlock.
