Poke a Mongo

Postby Grumpy Gramps » Sun Jul 17, 2016 3:00 pm

Looking at the popularity of the game, we might need a thread for it anyway, so here goes.

The voice of Pikachu:

I was thinking that too. Probably more skillful and entertaining.
It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

IKEA Kohoku has functioning PokeStops well ahead of the official Japan rollout. I wonder if those Pokemon speak Swedish and can only be caught by rolling meatballs at them.

Unfortunately I can top that--I had the somewhat dubious honor of witnessing a monkey whack off (wish I was joking) years ago at a zoo, maybe in the Philippines...
And, I can say it was definitely more entertaining than most of the crud available on the tube here.

We need a guerilla campaign to haze and ridicule anybody over the age of 13 playing this game. Vancouver is turning into a fat geek zombie fest from this crap.

Hmm, not in my playstore yet. Wifey highly regrets to have only a flip phone (my old phone, before I got my sumaho) and my phone is with its 6(?) years under the belt surely not capable to run such an advanced software; it even struggles with kindle-updates now. So I am desperately sorry for wifey, that we most likely are forced to give Poke a Mongo a pass. Very unfortunate

When I saw the title of this thread and the image of Pikachu's voice, I thought it had something to do with fucking a woman with Down's Syndrome, but I see now I've got it wrong.

Someone doesn't know about Lures.

At least we know that he is not as sophisticated in crime activities as your average St Louis teen thug http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/2016 ... /86922474/

Then again, the police are on to it, too. http://www.cnet.com/news/police-invite- ... e-pokemon/ You have to ask who is stupider: the police for proposing that, or the criminals for falling for it.

By the way, I hope your tastes are wide. I think you will attract more than just 18 to 25 year old females.

Looks like even the Government seems to be concerned about the sustained tax-payability of the young generation:

Bloomberg wrote:[...]

Even prior to the release, Japan’s Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga on Thursday warned players to use the game in a safe manner. A government agency also released a nine-point guide, including advice against staying out in the summer heat for too long and being aware of natural disasters such as tsunamis while playing outside.

[...]

(Source...)

Hikkikomori should refrain from staying in the sun

Wow, just wow! Taro "Yakuza" Aso was just interviewed and he stated that the best doctors in the US couldn't get hikikomori people out of their houses, but Nintendo's Pokémon Go could! And that is something for Japan to be proud of. Hey we got the shut ins to venture out to play a virtual reality game, but never have to interact with real humans! Yahoo!

It is interesting watching all the Pokemon whoring. First up to bat is Oliver Stone who tries to tie Pokemon into plugging his movie.

http://www.japantoday.com/category/ente ... itarianism

Next up is Yoshihide Sugawho wants to show that Pokemon is a reason for changing the constitution.

I wish. Tellingly though, her school results are excellent. Really excellent. And that is both unsurprising and depressing - schools these days eh? To be fair it turned out to be two quick trips out and that was that. I harbor hopes that it was just temporary curiosity and a need to be informed. Meantime, she still hasn't got her head around changing gears. Takes after her mother in some ways.
