Japan Prime Minister Recommended for 16% Pay Raise, Nikkei Says

Japan's Prime Minister should earn 50 million yen ($469,880) a year, 16 percent more than the post pays, a government panel will recommend, Nikkei English News reported without saying where it got the information.

Koizumi ain't no loser, no sir. Find him in line with the other "winners" waiting to get that 300 yen chocolate after retirement... but seriously, it's still going to take a long time before anyone gives a rat fuck about falling salaries. I mean _seriously_ care. Wasn't one of the earlier bits in this series about a taxi driver who blows 4,000 yen a night on booze? Not certain it was the same series though...
