VINE Video Service cancelled, millions ask:What's VINE?

So, it appears that Twitter had a similarly insipid video service called Vine, where 6 second videos played to satiate the ADD crowd too busy to read the complementary 140 character text messages, and it has just been announced it will be phased out in the coming months.
Given that this is the Age of the Internet, can I lament the loss of something I never knew existed, and is this a hopeful sign that the hegemony of the ADDtards is rupturing, or will there be a replacement service with shorter videos for those who found theselves too busy for Vine?

You really are old and out of the loop if you never heard of Vine. I don't know if I've ever seen a Vine video but I have heard of it.

I do revel in it, as you probably have noticed, for better or worse, but that was the point of the thread
Until I read the news today I couldn't have imagined anything more insipiderer than Twatter
....then I heard about Vine. The real shame is they invented a tool to exploit the stupid and they didn't even suck the subliterate spastics dry of what little they get paid.

And do keep in mind I still use a flip phone.
