Nakamichi 670ZX Discrete 3-Head Audiophile Cassette Deck

Postby thumper » Mon Oct 31, 2016 10:36 am

One owner from new, I really loved this deck.

The original service receipt and inspection test results are available.

The deck uses 100V 50/60Hz AC supply. The cabinet paintwork has some minor chips here and there, nothing serious like deep scratches or gouges.

The recording and playback heads/tape azimuth calibration are fine. There are no signs of bulging or leaking caps, and I am unaware of any problem at all with this deck.

There are two original Owner's Manuals: English and Japanese. The azimuth adjustment driver, head cleaning tools and cleaning cloth are Nakamichi originals.
The head demagnetizer is a Sony HE-4, with illuminated tip.

The original Nakamichi outer carton is in poor state. I will replace it with a new carton and pack styrofoam chips / bubble pack between the two cartons.

What a beauty. I hope it finds a caring home. I couldn't take it on as I lost all my cassettes in the move to Japan. There must be someone with audiophile tendencies that would really want that though.

Thanks Wage Slave for your comments and Takechanpoo for your assistance.
Youngsters these days aren't much interested in audiophile gear, unfortunately.

I have the newer version of this one. Beautiful deck.
