Good university Politics departments in Yokohama/Tokyo

Postby silver_blue » Mon Jan 19, 2004 6:47 pm

Hi all

Only a couple of months to go before application process opens for the MEXT Postgraduate Research scholarships from the UK (and presumably elsewhere). Looking to apply for this as a research scholar in the area of politics (particularly Japanese domestic electoral politics, or Japanese political philosophy) - but to help the application it's useful to get in touch with a few professors in Japan.

So, anyone know/have contacts with decent Politics departments at universities in Tokyo or (preferably) Yokohama? National universities are far preferable to private institutions in terms of getting the scholarship.

Many thanks!
