　13日には新潟県警津川署が、自宅に民泊させていた10代女性の体を触ったとして、70代の無職男性を強制わいせつの疑いで逮捕している。10代女性は同県阿賀町の観光協会主催の農業体験ツアーに参加し、県外から同町を訪れていた。そのほか、民泊施設を使った覚醒剤の密輸事件も発生するなどしている。
