I've been doing a lot of work trying to help non white foreigners lately. The ones that don't appear to be east asian have it the worst. No level of Wha-ponese can help these poor people. I have met a few dozen that have passed N2 and still can't jet a job that pays more than 1,000 yen an hour. The slave traders trade these poor people like baseball cards every two years so that they don't ever have to make them regular employees. The fucked part is the companies they work for pay the slave traders 2,000 yen an hour for these workers just so that they can "adjust" their workforce as needed.

Reminds me of my Chinese friends (PR, not naturalized) sometimes slipping and referring to me as "gaijin" but uses "us" in reference to herself/Japanese. She can racially 9-dash line herself if she wants but I find it a bit rich to draw lines between herself and other FG based on race.
