If you buy any kind of burger made from cow bi product you get a ticket for a humburger value about 100 yen.

Anyway during a discussion with my GF we were talking about why burgers are so cheap in Mc'Ds

The crazyest thing I have heard in a long time was her answer.

She fully belives that the 'meat' in Mc'Ds comes from insects and that is proved by the grey colour of the meat.

I proceded to tell her the real way cows are slaughtered, how the bones are striped from meat. and how all the crap on the floor gets put into the burgers.

But still she is adamint that they are insects.

Have you heard any such stupid stories in Japan?


(saying all that I know that scientiests are working on ways of growing protien in labs as a replacement for meat)

One thing i did notice that tastes different is the Qoo, I have not seen the same flavor in the shops and its totaly addictive. There much be crack in it.

For some reason if you search for qoo in googles image search you get loads of pictures of cats and operations to cats all in japanese.

KFC does not use real chickens. They actually use genetically manipulated organisms. These so called "chickens" are kept alive by tubes inserted into their bodies to pump blood and nutrients throughout their structure. They have no beaks, no feathers, and no feet. Their bone structure is dramatically shrunk to get more meat out of them. This is great for KFC because they do not have to pay so much for their production costs. There is no more plucking of the feathers or the removal of the beaks and feet.

The sad part is that this will probably be the first urban legend that becomes a reality. Especially if you crossbreed this featherless chicken with the extra-large breast chicken.

I dont mind at all, everybody knows nori in japan that green seaweed we all know and love on everything japanese, sushi, ramen, onigiri etc. But hundreads of japanese deserts are made from seaweed. You know that white glob that is in fruit cocktail style deserts that is made from seaweed in english it is called agar-agar i dont know the Japanese name. It was invented in WW2 as cheap food that can feed the masses and is used extesnivle in japan, and in diet food in europe and america.

I have nothing intrinsically against McDonalds Japan. In fact, I've heard that if you work for McDonalds Japan and you graduated from Todai you can expect to work behind the counter for at least two years before being promoted. For that I have to respect them. But.



This is a mosburger. And yes, this is what it actually looks like when they serve it. It is waaaaay better. OK the portion is not as big but personally, even if it costs 60 yen, I don't want to pay for shit in a bap from MaccyD Japan.
