Pre-Digital Camera Japan

Postby legion » Mon Feb 19, 2018 9:13 pm

Been clearing out the loft, came across the photos I took when I first arrived in Japan, among them this gem. The neon sign of Mickey Rourke drinking Suntory Whisky which used to grace Kabukicho.

Mickey Rourke is still known as "Neko Punch" because of his mega-lame fight with Thai Boxer Daryl Miller in Japan in 1992. Youtube of his neko punch "knock-out" is at the 13m42s point.

I was hoping you guys would dig through your own archives.
Shimousa Nakayama, looking up towards the temples. When I had this film developed the guy didn't even bother printing this one. Guess what you see as a wide eyed newbie and what you see on your doorstep are different. As I recall the developer was on this street.
