Cooperative Linux runs KNOPPIX

Running linux on Windows all seems a bit confusing to me but for you Linux guys this might be a interesting development.

Cooperative Linux is the first working free and open source method for optimally running Linux on Microsoft Windows natively. More generally, Cooperative Linux (short-named coLinux) is a port of the Linux kernel that allows it to run cooperatively alongside another operating system on a single machine. For instance, it allows one to freely run Linux on Windows 2000/XP, without using a commercial PC virtualization software such as VMware in a way which is much more optimal than using any general purpose PC virtualization software. Is that a Cygwin setup running from the CD? If so that looks very interesting. I've always liked the idea of Knoppix, and like with SUSE, the Germans really are quite innovative with Linux stuff.

An operating system running entirely from a CD is a weird concept and takes some getting used to for many. Running an operating system in a non-native environment from a CD is astonishing from a tecchie and practical point of view.

Can you imagine anyone doing this with any other OS? I don't think so.
