KANAGAWA (TR) – Kanagawa Prefectural Police have arrested a male German executive at Volkswagen Group Japan over the alleged use of stimulant drugs, reports NHK (June 14).

On Wednesday, police announced the arrest of Thomas Siebert, 53, for allegedly using kakuseizai, or stimulant drugs, in the Tokyo area earlier this month.

Siebert told police that he used cocaine but he denied using any other drugs, the Kanazawa Police Station said.

Grammy-award winning American club DJ David Morales is arrested at a Japan airport after ecstasy is found in his carry on luggage

American DJ David Morales was arrested at an airport in Japan on Sunday on the charge of drug smuggling after a small quantity of ecstasy was found in his carry on luggage.

Morales, 58, was detained Fukuoka airport and was scheduled to perform at an event in Tokyo on Sunday. Its unclear if the DJ was released in time to attend the event.

'He was arrested for allegedly violating the law on narcotics and psychotropics control,' a police spokesman told AFP.

Authorities said they found five granules of MDMA, weighing all of 0.3 grammes but the laws against drugs in Japan are extremely strict and can lead to jail sentences.

Possession of ecstasy can carry a fine of up to $26,000 and a maximum jail sentence of up to seven years.

The Sankei Shimbun newspaper reported that the DJ denied the allegation, saying: 'It's not mine. (Someone) might have tried to frame me.'

.3 is 300mg. Probably could get two doses out of that if it's pure. Not sure how you divide five by two....
