We are currently 21 degrees. It has not been a cold winter thus far.

Yeah, it's been back and forth but hasn't tended to drop down too low. Can't wait to get new wheels/tires on the truck and test em out in some snow though. Onsen trip!

At a frigid 15 degrees, I may have spoken too soon. Another degree or two colder and a pullover could become necessary for going out and about. The nice thing about home and office is no windchill factor.

Not sure, if my age starts to show, but I felt freezing cold all the time all autumn long. So I decided to try and "recalibrate" my body a little, and never turned on the heater in my office during the day. Temperature drops to about 11-13°C, and by now I feel comfortable working like this (if you call office work "work").

In the evening, though, I start the heater up and now I feel almost hot when the temp hits 19°C. I guess, the recalibration has worked, I am back to my normal self. I only hope that there will be no more summers in Nagoya ever again :spin:

Should you be doing that with heart problems? Makes circulation much more difficult.

It works. Minus 10 here in Hokkaido and we still haven't used our heater this winter.

ps I have NEVER been as cold as I was in the inlaws balsa-wood house in Chiba in winter. What fucken crook built that thing. Having to wear a down jacket INSIDE the house is just fucking nuts.

My fake wood stove heater is proving more than enough for comfort thus far....amazing what even basic insulation can do. I even went in and replaced the incandescent bulbs that light the fake fire/burning wood with LEDs for maximum efficiency.

Can always replace it with a cheap aftermarket one, if this one craps out.

Man, we hit 25ºC on Thursday, and tomorrow we look to perhaps approach that temp once again. Heisei seems to be going out like a lamb (to the slaughter, perhaps).

25ºC in Okinawa, -40ºC in Chicago, where is this world coming to?

No worries. Merkins don't believe in climate change (but they believe in Jesus, so it's gonna be alright).

Yes, and if climate change would still happen against all odds, the Merkins also have their guns. so they're doubly safe.

Today is a dangerous day. Equinox and full moon at the same time surely bring bad luck. Stay safe and wear a helmet, safety glasses, high visibility vest and a respirator, please.

PSA: Tomorrow May 4th is two things: Star Wars Day (May the fourth be with you) and "nude gardening day". Please cut the grass in your garden with a light saber, and in the nude. Thank you!

Am I the only one to have noticed the three days of unseasonally freaky Hokkaido-melty hot weather over the weekend coincided with the visitation of President Mushroompenis? Scientists need to be told.
