It is funny that in 5G the use of directional antennas (or antenna arrays) is promoted in order to extend the range. So, in theory if these people are not in the selected direction of the antenna they will receive a much lesser radiation dose. But even if you receive the full blast the signals are weak enough to not have shown any harm.

Anyway, I have an aunt who does not use a microwave oven (because "radiation"), but she does use WiFi and a mobile phone. If only she knew...

This seems to be the expectation in the media, because of the lock down measures.

They could well be right, but the problem is of course that there is no exit strategy. Once the lock down is relaxed, the number of cases will take off again.

It is funny that the media reports that hospitals are stretched thin due to the Corona virus, while there are also reports that hospitals are quieter than ever, because they don't accept patients out of fear they may be infected by this virus. If there is only one infection detected, there is an apparent need to decontaminate the whole hospital and shut it down for two weeks. In other words, patients are on their own...

Japan to suffer 400,000 coronavirus deaths if no action:

TOKYO -- Japan warned that the new coronavirus outbreak will cause 850,000 seriously sick patients and half of them may die if no measures are taken to reduce human-to-human contact.
The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare's cluster response team, made up of researchers from universities and government agencies, unveiled the estimate on Wednesday.
Hiroshi Nishiura, a member of the cluster response team and a professor of theoretical epidemiology at Hokkaido University, said the figures cover those who need respiratory management using an artificial respirator or treatment in an intensive care unit.
The calculation is based on overseas outbreaks and assumes that each virus carrier infects an average of 2.5 people. If no measures, such as requests to stay home, are taken, the number of seriously ill patients comes to about 201,300 for those aged 15 to 64, and about 652,000 for those over the age of 65.
The governors of Japan's big urban centers have asked residents to stay home, and many companies have instituted telecommuting programs.
According to the estimate, 49% of seriously ill patients will die if no measures are taken. Professor Nishiura has not given the death toll, but a simple calculation shows about 418,000 deaths.
Nishiura said the figure "assumes that no measures are taken against the new coronavirus" and that "an epidemic can be stopped if contact is greatly restricted."
He said reducing contact between people by about 80% would contain the epidemic in about a month.

The logic of lockdowns escapes me. I believe that it is an extremely dubious substitute for testing everyone. Given that we still don't have a clear picture of the virulency of the virus, how widespread it is, the infectiousness of it, the duration of virus in asymptomatic patients, or even if people can be reinfected, one would think that community testing might give you some answers. But instead every time someone in the press mentions testing, the official being questioned gives a polite cough and a non sequitur answer about vaccines, like testing reminds them of that time they were caught masturbating to pictures of goldfish.

The entire premise of lockdowns was that after two or three weeks the incubation period would be over and all those who didn't have it could escape from their lair happy and free. Now it is six weeks, eight weeks, whatever, you'd think that would be enough to make people cognisant of the fact that it has failed. Their argument seems to be that they are flattening the curve which implies that they do expect virtually everyone to get it.
