There's actually an old, old Saturday Night Live commercial that does the same thing - only they did it when the first twin blade razors were introduced.

It aired around 1975 and had Dan Akroyd delivering a ridiculous spiel about the benefits of the amazing triple-bladed razor. The tagline at the end? "Because you'll believe anything."
