OK, what's with the 'badger' switch?

Postby Alcazar » Thu Feb 19, 2004 9:54 pm

I know it can be annoying to see the overuse of one word, but this is tripping people up. Try to post g.e.t.s or g.e.t and 'badger' appears in it's place!

I guess it will force people to think a little more about how they express themselves, so maybe it's OK. FG, proof-read your posts, you will makes less mistakes.

Are other words going to change too? This could be a good way of eventually making an special code-talking technique that is only decipherable to a few.....

'When badgering cornelius oblique ribbentrops, seven donuttella calcutta's could tenderise georgeforemansleanmeanfatreducinggrillingmachine
with kobayashi-esque spicy J-girls'.........

OK, I think it should be changed because we use the word
'g e t' or 'g e t s' in normal sentences.

But it was getting kinda silly with the G E T S this and G E T S that.

Can we turn off the badger filter please?

It's filtering posts that were posted months ago.

And its really hard to read.

words that start with G E T are the targets.

Yeah, its not just the

G E T or G E T S, but words like

G E T T Y S B U R G

G E T UP or G E TUP as in outfit

G E T TOGETHER

G E T AWAY with SOMETHING

but what if I want to say "G E T out of here" or "I had to G E T away"

I think we get the idea ultra. Enough with the G E T S topics. Right? :D

AO said it, not me. I was just quoting...

Yeah, but you're the one that made the anti-gets filter. So even though you didn't come right out and say it....

But you've gotta admit, without the badger thing, AO might never have told us how he felt about "GETS".

Oh yeah, 'cause if I don't know how AO feels about an issue I just can't get to sleep at night.
