LOTR rocks.. dude what rock are you living under?

I used to have the LOTR laserdisc 6 hour version. Man all that flipping about drove me insane.

As for the Star Wars laserdisc version:

That is the original trilogy set in laserdisc format.

Well, that one's already sold. Probably for the best. I don't need to be buying discs I can't play.

Must've misinterpreted my snoring. I was snoring because it's not going to be released until September 21st! 8O Dang, who do they have doing the remastering, Yoda?

Someone wake me up 7 months from now. :fresse:

I actually own the definitive Star Wars LD set, it was the main reason I bought a top of the line LD player and still have it hooked up to this day. The LD set is amazing, especially the extras. If I recall correctly, including a Revenge of the Jedi teaser trailer. Also, some minor deleted scenes were added back into the footage.

Actually American Oyaji, I don't post on any Star Wars websites. Funny enough, even though at times I read rebelscum.com and theforce.net regularly, I don't think I've ever checked a Star Wars forum. Got any good recommendations?

This is certainly a first for FG. A new world record, even! Single post ban = hole-in-one?

I think Lucas waited too long to put it on DVD, it's old news now, they will sell but not compared to new titles. People have already converted to DVD. He could have done that years ago before he destroyed the Franchise with those terrible new Star Wars films.

Compatibility with APPLE

DVD WMV9 HD is not compatible with the computers APPLE (Macintosh). Admittedly, the format Windows Media Video 9 is supported by the system Mac OS X, but version DRM (mechanism of protection of the digital components) necessary is not supported on this platform. APPLE does not wish to implement for its own reasons.

I really don't understand this. If they don't come up with something of equal quality to WMV9 for QT soon, I don't see how QT can go anywhere important.

Not just "no," but "FUCK NO!"

Lucas to make more Star Wars?

21/08/2004 - 22:18:27

Star Wars creator George Lucas could be poised to make three sequels to the original space opera trilogy, according to insiders at Lucasfilm.

According to fan site Theforce.net, employees at Lucas's company Industrial Light and Magic have all been made to sign non-disclosure agreements to promise not to talk about the possibility of episode's seven, eight and nine being made.

Now industry insiders are predicting the director will make the follow-ups, which pick up where 1983's Return of the Jedi left off, despite insisting he would never be lured into filming them.

A posting on the site says, "You didn't hear this from me, but you might be curious as to why everyone at ILM just signed NDA's saying that they will not discuss Star Wars episodes 7, 8, or 9.

"Since they're not being made, why the NDA's? Of course, since when has Lucas been consistent?"

Oh yeah, this is just what the world needs. Doesn't Lucas have enough money already? How much more of his own material (and Expanded Universe material) is he going to completely invalidate if he goes on and does 7, 8 and 9?
