This'll last until nature cooks up "mad horse disease." Then where will they get their horsemeat?

Disregarding how ridiculously arrogant that comment it, why does an appreciation of the beauty of a horse rule out eating it? I appreciate that horses are beautiful animals, and I also have no qualms about eating one.

In fact, the people who annoy me most in terms of judging what we shouldn/shouldn't eat are those who base their decisions entirely on the appearance of the animal. Hell, we can't eat rabbits because they're cwute fwuffy bunnies, but pigs are ugly so it's fine to scoff a few rashers of bacon. Can't eat horses because they're beautiful? Same issue.

Agreed. The only animals we shouldn't eat are the ones that don't taste good. As for the ones we haven't tried yet (due to not being able to catch and kill them), give us time.

Where I'm from rabbits are vermin. Only good one is a dead one. See how cute Fluffy is when they've dug up all your land and taken the food of native animals looking at extinction. If people want to eat it, go ahead. One more in the pot is one less out in the field.

Also problems with wild cats (domestics dumped in the forest by bone head owners) and horses let loose years ago. As far as I'm concerned, it's up for grabs, don't care how smart or cute you think they are. Consider yourself lucky to have the damn choice!

Looking at the cats in cages is no different to me then looking at chickens in a cage. Some animals have got the short straw and it's seems to be drawn by culture. Being a cow in India would be great. Being a cow in a feeding pen in England?

Some people will not eat roo for the "cute beautiful animal" argument. In some parts of Australia, kangaroos are culled because of overpopulation.

If you don't want to eat it fine, just don't bore the rest of us with your belief.
Never underestimate the power of very stupid people in large groups.
