"We aim for women around 18 to 20 and rank them A to D, for beautiful to ugly, and S for saiko (best)," says 20-year-old Kenichi Sato, who scouts for a strip club. "I'm on a commission. When I deliver the girls to the club, and provided they stay for a set time, I get paid ¥40,000 to ¥50,000 [£195 to £245]." ...Recently, female scouts, such as those employed by Yoshisato, have also started working the area. ...."If you're a young girl, even a fat, ugly one, the scouts will bug you," 19-year-old Emi Ishii says.

I regularly poke the pimp boys in the shoulder with a stern dame. They make me so mad because these girls are just walking out of the train station minding their own business. It is serious harassment and often right in front of a koban. It seems to be getting worse lately as well.

But the problem would go away if the girls being accosted would simply turn around and tell the guys dame themselves rather than just put their heads down and try to escape by walking away. (Like that is going to happen).

But interestingly, I saw a chikan being hauled off a train the other day by another (male) passenger. The guy had him by the scruff of his cheap suit lapel and was dragging him off to the station master.. probably to be charged and to lose his job and to be stricken off the family register. There has been such a lot of press coverage about chikans over the last few years that normally apathetic city dwellers are atuned to the potential issues. So it shows that public awareness and action of citizens can curb a social problem better than law enforcement.

However, the backlash against FG's has been happening of late.. (agree with that one gomichild???)

kicking the living bejesus out of fake tan, pimp wannabees like those prissy faggots in front of Shibuya. I do not miss much about the US, but one thing I do miss is the strong sense of vigilantte justice! Bashing the teeth out of them would be fun! But I have to remind myself, that I am in a different country now, and as much as I do not like what they do, it is up to the locals to put a stop to it.
