The trailer says it's un-dubbed. Wonder if they're doing it without subtitles, just to get the "true" original experience?

That looks pretty awesome, but it also looks like it's gonna be a limited release, so my back-water american town probably won't get it. :P

Yep, subtitled orginal for theatrical release. Also it seems a new edition of Destroy All Monsters" (1962) is in the works....

Via aint-it-cool-news.com

"Toho has doubled the budget for the 50th anniversary film, farming out digital effects and composites to an American company. The movie will also have a longer production period compared to the last few Godzilla movies and the apparent reason behind these adjustments seem that Toho is strongly aiming this one for the international market.

The film's producer, Shogo Tomiyama, was quoted in a press interview that "at least ten favorite [Kaiju monster] characters and five actors from the last 50 years." Will appear in the movie. Ryuhei Kitamura (Versus, Azumi) will indeed be directing the 50th anniversary film. Another interesting rumor around is that New York might also be under attack by the monsters as well as other major cities around the world. More news coming soon."

This looks rather GRUESOME.

Godzilla calls it a day...again. Mainichi Shimbun, Japan - March 3
Godzilla, at various times Japan's scourge and savior but undoubtedly the country's most famous movie monster, will retire aged 50 with a final movie to be final movie to be released later this year, Toho Co. said.
Shooting will begin in May on "Godzilla Final Wars," where the monster's record of merciless destruction of urban centers will be bolstered by the addition of New York, Shanghai and Paris. ....
...Though hailed as the end for Godzilla, Toho has retired the monster several times in the past and Toyama did not rule out the creature emerging from the depths again some time in the future.

FOX is also reports on the retirement of this monster.

Hit It Girls
Hit by slumping box office sales for the iconic series, Japan's Toho Co. is planning to shelve its Godzilla films after this year's finale.
Should we sing Auld Lang Syne?

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And days of auld lang syne?
And days of auld lang syne, my dear,
And days of auld lang syne.
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And days of auld lang syne?

We twa hae run aboot the braes
And pu'd the gowans fine.
We've wandered mony a weary foot,
Sin' auld lang syne.
Sin' auld lang syne, my dear,
Sin' auld lang syne,
We've wandered mony a weary foot,
Sin' auld ang syne.
We twa hae sported i' the burn,
From morning sun till dine,
But seas between us braid hae roared
Sin' auld lang syne.
Sin' auld lang syne, my dear,
Sin' auld lang syne.
But seas between us braid hae roared
Sin' auld lang syne.

And ther's a hand, my trusty friend,
And gie's a hand o' thine;
We'll tak' a cup o' kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.
For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We'll tak' a cup o' kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.
