Justin's Just In Tokyo,a cheap, handy, printed guide to Tokyo. The print edition is no longer for sale...Enjoy the September 2002 version - download 750k pdf. Most of the material is about adjusting to Japan.. It's an overview experience.
If you download the PDF, consider a donation.

I've met Justin a couple a times but we haven't spoke more than a couple of banal partytalk sentences. His writing is grrreat: the subtitle of the book is too kool: : "How to Live as an Urban Nomad in the World's Most Expensive City."

justin rocks. i've never read just in tokyo, so now i'll get a chance. i almost met justin last time i was in tokyo - i worked with a buddy of his who is a member of the pongi army - he goes, "dude, you gotta hook justin up with rob!" heh heh!

justin has written more pages on the internet probably than anyone alive. links.net goes on and on. killer url, no? it's a blog that started, like, years ago.

10 years ago as of a couple of months ago. Really impressive, I think.

heres my succinct guide to tokyo:

get off plane, get limousine bus to haneda, get on plane to anywhere else in japan, sapporo is nice and clean!

as Booth said "get out of tokyo!"

man it stinks, is dirtier than london, fag smoke EveryWhere, the food tastes 2 days older than it should, the people are rude on purpose (as opposed to just being rude in character as in sapporo) its bloody expensive, train/tube system is a nightmare etc etc

man sapporo was heaven compared to tokyo! 6 days was more than enough!

cheers to Tina , Sparky and the others who offered some tips , theres some really interesting places in tokyo but damn i have no idea why/how anyone would want to live there...

sapporo ownz y`all ^^ shame i`m back in blighty..

edit: another HUUUGE thanks to Taro , man you saved us so much money!!! we also ended up sending our bulk luggage thru kuro neko`s "golf bag" service to tokyo and posted shopping etc thru the postservice there also.. we ended up paying about £230 to send a ton and i mean a ton of stuff back , as opposed to the £7/850 quoted by the pretty much every shipping company from the indys up to the national ones.. that was really kind of you man, thank you!

Funny, that's what I thought about London. The London underground experience compared to Tokyo I'd take Tokyo anyday (even with the lugging of the pushchair up and down stairs).
