Two questions

Postby Kanchou » Tue Mar 16, 2004 4:39 pm

Ok, I had two questions (both entirely unrelated to each other), and I figured I might as well ask them in one thread...

First off, language question: What would be a good way to ask "Can't I get a cute lady to teach me Japanese?" I was gonna write this on the whiteboard on my dorm room, along with "nanchatte" (despite the protests of my roommate..hehe).

I figured it would involve "kawaii na oneesan," "nihongo," and "oshiete agemasenka," but I didn't know of a good way to put them together.

Second question: Just incase I actually like it in Japan, I was curious what it takes to start a small business.

domou.

A love of concrete and a willingness to suffer.

The Japanese capital requirements are now lower (no longer $10,000 min). In theory, you could start with just 1 yen. However, the real costs are closer to $3,000 to $6,000 at a very min. and of course that doesn't include the actual money for your equipment/factory/office/whatever.

Kanchou,
there is no need for all that kawaii crap.. she'll think you are sukebe..

Just ask her:

Nihongo wo oshietekudasai. Watashi wa nihon bunka ya gokaku ga sukidesu.

Or something like that. The simpler the better. No need for that "hit on the sensei" compliment crap. Do you wanna learn Japanese or bed her?
:D

If she/they did, I'd just tell them my roommate wrote it :D

If I do write it, which I probably won't (I partially just wanted to learn how to use oshiete correctly, and how to say "do for me," etc) it would have been as a joke (hence the "nanchatte"), not as a serious request.

My roomate is the one who wants me to leave "nanchatte" off :D

If I was serious about it, I wouldn't ask for a girl and I would just make a simple "oshiete kudasai" for anyone willing.

Watashi wa nihon bunka ya gokaku ga sukidesu.

Well, keep it in context. What is the ya
and what is gokaku.

Uh...

"I like passing Japan culture"?

I figured the ya might be a typo.
