o' course it's encoded with WMP with the satanic foodledomp encoder, so I can only hear the audio!

in the first clip, what exactly happens to the guy? i see the sword breaking, but where did it get him? in the arm? that was, indeed, a classic!

Sparkle-san: It appeared to get him just below the tit.

What a dumbass! Who the hell takes an ornamental blade and whacks a butcher-block counter with it? Moron! I wouldn't even do that with my Starfires, and they *are* fighting blades!

As for the second clip: Youth + Alcohol + Video Camera will always result in painful hilarity! (seriously though, I do hope they took that guy to the hospital.)

What's real classic is how the second guy steps in and explains how the first guy needs help but doesn't do anything but continue to hawk their katanas to avoid dead-air time.

Nah, not computers (though god how I wish!).

Starfire Swords

Built to be used, but not abused. Did some work with a choreographed fighting group for a couple of summers. Did decent fighting, but never could get the dancing down...

I've found this via The Alan Smithee Page a very cool french blog.
I love the line "Huh right now, we may need emergency surgery in the studio.."
On the same post the guy put this. Not japan related as the first one but still interesting.

Shawn Leflar

Postby jingai » Tue Mar 23, 2004 9:56 am

I never watch the shopping channels, but was wondering if Shawn Leflar recovered. Anyone seen him on since the sword incident? He didn't seem to be impaled, just a bit bruised...

It's too bad they didn't catch this on vid. I'm sure it'd be a real cracker.

FG attacks with Japanese swords seem to be quite common.
