Does anyone have the Canon Wordtank G50? I am going to get a pocket translator and I have heard good things about this one.

my wordtank has a 50 cal mounted right on it and fires out enough verbs, nouns, adverbs, and idiomatic phrases faster than you can keep track of.

Recommedation

Postby emperor » Mon Apr 12, 2004 7:14 pm

I recommend the Sharp PW-A8700. Costs about E230 / $280

Itll give you results for almost anything you need to look up.

Its got that jump feature thats lets you look up kanji readings by highlighting them.

4 of the others foreign students here with me use it too - everyones quite pleased. Weve all done 3 years of Japanese and it covers quite obscure and technical vocab that might crop up now and then.

..and yet its easy enough for visiting family members with no japanese to use too.
