Any FGs planning to arrive near the end of April?

Fridge, washer, TV, video... the usual stuff... I'll even throw in a potty for free.

Neo, I have a Shuttle SN45G that I'm not using much. I built it a few months ago with an Athlon 2800XP Barton Core (166 MHz FSB) and 1GB Samsung RAM. 160GB Maxtor or IBM HDD (I forget.) Radeon 9600/128MB video RAM.

I dont use it much since I also have a Mac laptop.

I PMed you but let me know via email if you are interested. I have all the boxes, receipts and whatnot. I'm not dying to sell it but it isn't getting much use.

Why frost, I am sure on State Street near the South Side you can find many things to do.. cruise the hookers, mess with the homeless, tease the Catholic school girls, shoot up heroine with the junkies.. etc...

Then if you are in the mood why not cruise over to Navy Pier and get down and dirty with the upper crust of society? Filet Mignon with an over 40 gal looking to score... Take up to the Sears Tower for a little whoopie in the elevator...

Chicago is full of adventure and action... enjoy it!

Steve Albini of Big Black. The most opinionated asshole in music. Umm--and he's usually right.

Next to Swans, Motorhead and Monster Magnet, this was the loudest show I've ever experienced. Yup, they blew up a coupla amps. Jello was there, so was Lydia Lunch and Jim "Foetus" Thirlwell.

Me and Rob Pongi saw a lot of shows there, now it's rubble.

Shit I stuffed up the timing of my departure. I miss a whole swag of public holidays. Easter, ANZAC day and Golden week.

Stuff will start losing price tags altogether as things get desperate.

Talk about sending me off on a websurfing tangent (at least 30 mins). Babelfish doesn't do Maori translations. And the Maori translators I did find didn't help much either.

So it's just going to have to be from "under the horse place" to....

Wellington harbour is said to have been the work of two great taniwha called Whataitai (also pronounced as 'Hataitai') and Ngake. Whataitai was a gentle easy-going taniwha who lived at the northern shallow end of what was origonally a great lake, while Ngake who lived at the southern end was vigotus and turbulent.

Ngake decided to try and get free of the lake and join the deep water he could hear crashing on the otherr side. He went to the northern corner of the lake near what is now Petone and wound himself up into a great fury, his tail lashing backwards and forwards, scooping up sand and piling it in the corner, which is why it is so shallow now. Twisting his tail up like a giant spring, with a giant hiss and a roar of taniwha enthusiasm. He drove off to the south at great speed.

Whataitai pushed his head out of the water near Scorching Bay to watch Ngake crash into a great wall of rock and earth at Seatoun, with such force he smashed right through it out into the open sea. Bleeding and battered, Ngake swam off into the deep waters of Raukawa moana, (Cook Srait) out into the deeper waters of Moana a kiwa and was never heard of again in these parts.

Whataitai slowly pushed off from Ngauranga to join Ngake, whose movement had let in the tides, but as they were now going out again Whatatai became stranded in the shallows where he wriggled so much he became well and truly stuck. He stayed there for a long time, kept alive by the tides washing over him for eleven generations, up to the time of Te Hao Whanue, the great earthquake of about 1460. This lifted Whataitai up, his skin dried out and he died.

The wairua, soul of Whataitai, left him in the form of a bird, whose name was Te Keo. It flew to the hilltop Matairangi over the harbour, and began to tangi, to weep, for Whataitai. The peak was renamed Tangi-te-keo, now known as Mount Victoria.

This is how the harbour entrance and the Mirimar peninsula, once the island Te Motu Kairangi, were formed, with Hataitai built on the back of the great taniwha.

Another buyer wants me to sort out the truck for him. Any recommendations for a cheap moving service?

Get the truck ready

Postby ramchop » Tue Apr 20, 2004 1:54 pm

:bounce: !!!!FREE!!!! :bounce:

Almost everything (I paid too much for the curtains and may have a buyer there)

If you want anything (especially the big stuff), get in touch asap.

Though you might have to race ptyx for the rice cooker and coffee table (and maybe, if he strengthens his "feeble arms", the fridge).

After being strung along for half a week by someone who wanted everything and now just the fridge, I've decided to deal exclusively with FGs.

It was never a "big" deal... but it was a deal to take the lot. Now it's down to 2000yen for the joy of letting them take the fridge off my hands. After wearing out my keitai thumb I'm more inclined to tell them where to go.

The truck that drives around the neighbourhood asking for your "TV, pasocon.... etc". Is that a free service?
