Yahoo!BB speed suddenly doubled?

Postby DrBru » Thu Apr 29, 2004 3:20 pm

I am on 12 MBit Yahoo!BB DSL and my download speeds used to top out at about 220kbytes/sec. Now suddenly this has gone up to about 400kbytes. What's going on? I am pretty far away from the next switch thing, so I didn't really expect to get more speed anytime soon...

Please do not adjust your settings. A technician will be out shortly to restore your service to its proper speed. Thanks for you cooperation.

Yahoo offer 26Mbit and 50Mbit connections too - could it be that people upgrading from lower speeds - use different lines therefore freeing up the bandwidth on lines such as 12Mbit?
(just a wacky theory) :?
