I've only had one experience at the Genius Bar in the Ginza Apple Store - a mate dragged me along to help him buy a new computer - the "Genius" couldn't really answer his questions...um so I did - I'm sure he wanted to strangle me by the end of it.

(BTW nice pic GuyJean :D )

They aren't geniuses, obviously. If there were geniuses there, they'd have to have Guy Jean there!

BTW, I am doing a gig at the San Francisco Apple Store to support my book in June. Next stop--Japan!

Hey Gomi Chil'- do you have Garage Band? Get some o' dat Sparkly bass into yer Mac.

GB is fun.. Although, I can't seem to import my AIFs into the ancient version of FCP I have.. I'm suspecting it's OS version conflict.. Looks like it's finally time to upgrade.. One good thing about computers; patience gets you a better system at a better price..

well, you have a school that teaches people Mac. So, I'd say you're qualified.

You're also an EXCELLENT editor. They should have REAL geniuses at those genius bars. Folks that actually know how to DO stuff with computers.

I think I have an hour. I'll need to translate into J, so I can do the Ginza and the Osaka stores.

You can't import AIFFs? NO WAY! 8O
It's a little funky gettin' them to show up in Soundtrack, but FCP
should pass them right through using File>Import.

I am finally runnin' Panther OS X 10.33 and FCP HD.
The new version of LiveType requires no rendering prior to import
into FCP which rocks. Just Import the Project File instead of the render.
Changes will live update too!

Yeah. I was surprised as well.. But, I'm converting to AIFs with iTunes on X.3, then trying to import on FCP 1.25 with 9.2.. Different computer.. "FCP does not recognize file" when import attempted... Me thinks it's version problems.. I'll get something to work. I didn't have much time to trouble shoot before..

Gotta run.. BBQ B callin'..

Have a great day!
