Importing a Beer Bong

Postby ibiza » Mon May 10, 2004 5:51 am

I'm leaving for Japan in about a month, and I plan on bring a beer bong with me

I'm sure most of you know what a beer bong is, but just in case you don't, look here

My question is, do you think I'll have any problems when they search my bag at Narita? I mean, it only consists of a funnel and about 3 feet of clear tube.

How's this.

Separate the tube and the funnel. Carry them separately. There, that was easy. Next!

Even if they confiscate it, you can probably buy the funnel and tube at a local hardware store (eg: "Workman") for about $5, and make another one.

I've found that it's only the brain cells I can't replace. Image

But then, Norm's "Buffalo Theory" suggests that that is a good thing

Leave it at home. Once you're in Japan, go to Tokyu Hands and pick up the stuff to make your own. With the mind-boggling variety of stuff they've got there, you could put together a beer bong of legendary proportions.

Or you could just grow up and drink like an adult instead of a moronic fratboy.

Oh come on. Are you to "proud" to hit the beer bong? All my japanese friends want me to bring one, too. Nobody has them over there.

Ditto above: easy enough to make your own after a visit to the hardware store. A funnel is called 'roto' in Japanese. Kampai!

Shotgunning

Postby kurohinge1 » Mon May 10, 2004 3:06 pm

The less-hardware-required option, if you like to drink beer fast, is always to teach your mates how to shotgun a can - all you need is a pen or something similar.

And of course the recommended training video is ...

Surely, the man realizes he can get the beer bong apparatus in Japan. Obviously, he has a sentimental attachment to this particular beer bong. Bring it, dude. Just make sure you have a brewskie on hand in case you have to demonstrate its true purpose to the anti-terrorism folks at the airport.

Hell, who needs a beer bong? Just suck down your drink of choice with a straw. Guaranteed to get you drunk faster.

Just as an update. I didn't have room in my luggage to bring the beer bong, so I'll have to make one. I'm going to head out to max value tomorrow and see if I can find the supplies for one.

That's no problem. You'll find the materials. You gotta fight, for your right, to party!

Yeah, I have a fairly large 2-story house all to myself, so I'm thinking about building it down the stairway with several valves to control the beer flow. I just have to be careful. I don't 500ml of beer traveling at 20 miles per hour when it hits someones throat. haha.
