Thankfully I only have them once a week, but at my last job I did only kindergartens. My question is, why is kids' snot flourescent bright green? Are they being fed slime? :cry:

Only at our old school's canteen.

It was also a long way from the toilet block to the canteen, so you had to flush hard. :lol:

Anyway, here's something I found interesting from a post about why snot is green ...

I agree with Dr Powell that is is the enzymes in neutrophils that give snot its green colour. However, I thought this was due to another powerful antimicrobial agent, peroxidase. Incidentally, this is the same enzyme that gives wasabi its green colour ...
