Postby skyline1080 » Tue Mar 11, 2003 5:57 am

 seeing that this is gonna be my first visit to japan. i wanna make an impack in someway. I a very good a dance dance revolution but i wanna make sure that if i freestyle on it that i will get a crowd or not. i freestyle like im really dancing on the pad. so i breakdance and pop n lock on the game. now my question is for those who have been to japan and seen people play ddr. Is their freestyle there very good or is it more getting the steps rite (tech)im just curious to know

In one word: KATA.

This is f%#$ing Japan. Of course "getting the steps rite (tech)", that is KATA, is the ONLY thing that counts here. From what I've seen of contests of TV, in the upper ranks there's plenty of folks that look OK, but never very elegant. I've walked by several of Dance Dance Revolution machines everyday for 3 years on the way back and forth to work and watch in total wonderment at the hopeless Japanese spaz attack (tech).

But hey, just being an alien freeSTylin' on the Dance Dance Revolution will draw crowds and you'll plenty of "action" for what ever your fancy is. <"Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more.">

Oh, come on... everybody knows that Dance Dance Revolution was designed for those people who are too young to be in clubs.
