Crazy "'Convincer' out to change Japanese mindset"

Hmmm, I wonder if he offers "group rates" to haul away my entire company.
Image . 'Convincer' out to change Japanese mindset about mental illnesses
Channel NewsAsia's Japan Bureau / 26 May 2004 1105 hrs
TOKYO :
Japan is widely seen as an advanced country, but when it comes to dealing with mental illness, even its own government admits the country is behind the times.
One man is however trying to change things.
Takeshi Oshikawa, ... CEO of Tokiwa Mental Health Office .... is not a qualified psychiatrist or counsellor, but he calls himself a "convincer".....
... He once tried to "convince" a 36-year-old who had not left his room for more than a decade.
And what did he find?
Bags of human waste, as the patient refused to use the toilet.

emm............. I think the multitude of psychiatic problems that currently exist in Japan, have at least something to do with the relentless stress and pressure from the society out there. This could apply equally though to ANY major industrialise country, BUT the pressure to conform must take its toll mentally. I am sure we were all meant to live a carefree existence free from the strains of conformity and stress related problems
OOH ....

Lack of sleep is the other culprit.

My employer is having many sleepless nights at the moment and it's making him go psychotic.

Speaking from some experience inability to sleep is a common symptom of mental problems rather than a cause.

Imagine: Sleep deprivation since the age of ten years in school.
