Fucktard

A word that has all the emphasis of the word"fuck" combined with the degradation of the word "retard".

Err contents update, I think.

Gene defends Muslim claims
Kiss bassist Gene Simmons, who sparked outrage in Australia after making comments seen as anti-Muslim, said he was speaking only of "extremists" and that his remarks were taken out of context.

"I was asked about extremists," he told The Associated Press. "And that's what I was talking about - only extremists."

Loons are in every religion as pointed out by GJ. Why does an asshole have to have a title to hide behind, Catholic Priest, Butcher Tribes, Extremist Muslims, Gaijin McDonald eating barbarians . Whatever...

Specious comparison, dude. Apples and mikan. However, if compelled at the point of a toy machine gun like that Yak was waving at the Keystone Keisatsu in Utsonomiya, I'd go with Kiss - if only because Gene Simmons is still pretty lucid for a burned-out rocker (admittedly, the bar is pretty low).

But, by gum, it's jes' fucktardtastic to say that, because some Catholic priests diddled some kids, a Shinto priest got hammered and peed on a vending machine, the Unitarian guy down the street bounced a check, and a Hindu once got jiggy wit' a cow, all religions are equally f*cked, and to say otherwise is to be guilty of the high crime of - what was the term? - oh yeah, "selective bigotry."

Pure kumbaya horseshit.

Islam INSTITUTIONALLY, through the Quran and the Hadiths, advocates the beating and subjugation of women, the taking of slaves, the killing of kufr (infidels), etc. I'd say that makes it more worthy of Gene's criticism than, say, Shintoism.

And the fact that GJ lives in Japan, and not Pakistan, pretty much confirms the validity of Gene's assertion. It's one of the good points of life in Japan - no one really tries to force any dogma on you, Blinky aside. Try wearing a yarmaluke or saffron robe in Saudi Arabia or Bangladesh and you'd be torn apart in seconds.

I don't live in Holland, does that prove anything? Maybe we should ask Ace Frehley.

I live in Japan. Voluntarily. I like the food, the religious tolerance, and, most of all, j-chix in all their tansoku splendor. Now, if all religions were equally noxious, and thus if Shintoism were as toxic as islam, Japan would be a bas-ackwards hellhole full of burkha-ed, illiterate, often clitorectomied women, amputations, beheadings, stonings, honor killings, cousin marriages, blasphemy laws, etc.

But it's not. And if it were, I'd venture to say neither GJ nor I would be living here.

If he was talking about extremists, then I'd have to agree with him.. But how often have you used the term 'culture' to mean 'extremists?"
Gene Simmons wrote:"This is a vile culture and if you think for a second that it's willing to just live in the sands of God's armpit you've got another thing coming,"

It's ignorant quotes like this... OK, or the blatant out-of-context quotes, that are polarizing the cultures.. We need moderate Muslims to help fight this 'terrorism war', and comments like Gene's will only drive the moderates more extreme.

I like Kiss, by the way; Seen them a few times. They're better in concert than AC/DC, but I like DC's songs more..

Prove it. I've never read the Koran, so I can't dispute your claim. Give me references, the version of your Koran, and the sources.. I'll check with one of my friends.

Some people say the Bible tells them to kill.. I must have missed those chapters, but different interpretations create different results..

It'd be safer without people altogether which is the direction in which we're heading so hey let's war.

No amount of make-up and blood and fire stage antics can compete with good songs. Back in Black alone has more good songs than Kiss produced their entire career. Highway To Hell is creepier than any Kiss record. TNT rocks harder than any single Kiss song. Angus wrote so many immortal guitar riffs that Australia ought to carve his face on Ayers rock. Steve, thanks for bringing some sanity to this discussion.

That being said Kiss is still a cool as fuck rock'n'roll phenomenom and all of Islam can go and toss Gene Simmons' salad.

Sorry, man.. I've only seen both bands twice, but Paul talks with the crowd more.. More chicks taking off their tops too. :D

But to me, Kiss' music never matched their appearance.. A little too 'poppy' for spitting blood and flame throwing tanks, IMO.

AC/DC - The Bon Scott Years
Brian Johnson is a singing yak

"It's A Long Way To The Top" Countdown promo clip filmed in Melbourne on Swanston Street where the band plays on a flatbed truck complete with bagpipes was of the first music videos to pull me in to the devil's music.

Steve WTF! BAGPIPES! How can you argue?

I hear ya that Bon Scott was a better singer but the pre-Back in Black AC/DC records just have too much filler. IMO, it would take a Bon Scott years' best of record to compete with Back in Black. Song for song it's just unbeatable as a studio release.

GuyJean wrote:I know GWAR.. Too much show, not enough sustenance, IMO.. Iron Maiden has a nice balance of both..

My band in college opened for GWAR in Salt Lake City. I thought they had some damn good metal riffs to go along with their amazing stage show. Considering their budget it's amazing what GWAR pulled off but like KISS certainly a live phenomenon that can't be translated off stage. Back in high school (maybe junior high) I saw Iron Maiden with Judas Priest in Atlanta. My head was splitting from to much 'dirt weed'. I actually like the bands that Iron Maiden inspired more than Iron Maiden themseves. Megadeth at the Metroplex in Atlanta was the wildest concert I ever saw. Fat-ass PCP driven Georgia rednecks diving off the balcony and people with snapped necks leaving in stretchers. No exaggeration. But my favorite speedmetal and of all time is definitely Slayer. Reign in Blood and South of Heaven!

Although you can't credit Poison with many good songs those boys got laid! Did anyone see that documentary on the most gratuitous rock bands of all time? Poison ranked. And the antics of Motley Crue were so fucking over the top. I love that shit where the drummer is upside down over the crowd! Funny though when it comes to both sex and drugs Elvis is still King. There's the interview with Dennis Hopper where he's talking about Elvis just fucking chick after chick of all ages down to their early teens in a tent on a movie set. Hopper says he asked Elvis if he ever tired of screwing all those chicks and he replied that they were all unique. The King was all class!

IMHO: AC/DC beats KISS anyday of the week

However, I actually thought GWAR was fictional (?!) - mustve been on "The Muppets Tonight Show" or some mad mad movie I saw a few years ago:
A kid was having a nightmare and then a loud voice said (IN A BOOMING VOICE) "dont worry kid! GWAR ARENT GOING TO EAT YOUR BRAINS!!" and all these muppets/puppets of a metal band came out and started attacking this kid :?

Check out the excellent HIM

Okay, you got your pants down and the rosy palms lubed. Ready to rock and roll? Cool. Now, before dingo offers up salacious material for your wanking pleasure, he's got two words for you, two words that some have called the most booti-ful in the English language:

Pay me.

That's right, mofo. You wants to play, you gots to pay.

I somehow ended up at a GWAR concert in Seattle about twelve years ago. The music was good, but the highlight of the show was when one of the band members grabbed a prop depicting a giant phallus and proceeded to spray green "ejaculate" into the audience.
