Sex scandal brings
gob-smacked shrine to its knees

Kasuga Shrine, one of Japan's oldest and most revered Shinto places of worship, has been rocked by sordid scandals of sex involving supposed-to-be-virginal shrine maidens and Shinto priests.... "We don't mind priests and shrine maidens dating," a high-ranking shrine spokesman who declines to be named tells Flash. "But, frankly speaking, we don't want any impure mingling between the sexes and insertion of the extremities is strictly forbidden.
