Starting Your Own Business

Postby prohomeless » Sat Jun 26, 2004 1:06 pm

With a visa for teaching English. Are there any laws against me if I want to start my own business in Japan. I heard you could make a pretty panny slinging illegal phone cards, magazines, or drugs. However, I also heard the Yakuza would be on my ass if I tried anything like this. So what if I wanted to start a legal business. I was thinking of selling hard to find American goods on the street. Do I need a permit to do this?

Street vending? I think the yakuza sell permits for that. (Or is it protection insurance?)

If you were considering pedaling drugs, anywhere, I think it's best you stay out of any business for your own and everyone's sake.
