Well I was there - it was great. Marshmallow Spike was superb of course.. original tunes and covers that kept the crowd bopping. Well I was anyway. I started a bit of a mosh pit which in Japan consists of everybody hugging and smiling and picking each other up trying to push them forward.. it was all very cute and harmless as mosh pits go.

However, they were upstaged by the final act.. a chap with an electric guitar giving the performance of his life. Originally he was wearing a kimono but that was soon removed by the crowd and he spent the next 20 mintues performing naked. Many times he fell backwards into the drum kit and then he managed to hit his head on a speaker and continued to perform with blood dripping into his eyes. Somebody was kind enough to wrap his head in toilet paper and the performance continued.

After that, everybody from the club went to dinner at an Izakaya and all was well with the world.

oh and PS.. ask gomichild about the Marshmallow Spike "Quick and Dirty Demo sessions" CD that was released last night. It can be yours for the price of a beer plus shipping. It is a must have for your CD collection.

yes it was a bit of a crazy night all round (and GG didn't even get to see the sushi chef perform).

She also forgot to mention her official appointment as our PR Manager

She did a wonderful modelling of our new CD "The Quick and Dirty Demo Sessions (available for 500 yen + shipping - pm me) and I think she should forget the keitai business and go into home shopping :D

Nope - what was the "performance"? how does a sushi chef perform?

I got there 30mins after doors opened and all that was left was a few pieces of sad looking sushi so I didn't partake.

Well he dramatically sliced up a fish and then sang a song. He apparently works at a very famous high-class sushi restaurant in Ginza. He was the guy who kept running around and picking you and I up and bouncing us up into the air remember?

Which one?? There was a lot of jumping around and throwing people about. I was picked up and thrown across the room by a boy who was about 40kg dripping wet. plus they were all wearing caps so it was hard to tell them apart.

Not sure if my picture of Naked Boy is sexually explicit, so I'll just link to my blog entry with it instead.

Enjoy.... 8O
