actually, a ton of the "made in taiwan" and even "made in japan" electronics are made in china and then finished in their country of "origin" before being shipped. have a friend in shanghai who job it is to get this sort of contract from japanese companies :P

pay more for your goods... support your fellow workers.

We have been spoiled by the rock bottom prices of electronics goods... I don't mind paying a premium if it gives a countryman a job, honestly. I know that sounds backwoods-ish, and all but I really don't give two rat testicles about PC.. or any of that.

We sell out our souls to save 5 bucks on a DVD player.
