What is it with these Korean dramas, do the actors get paid by the amount of tears they shed. Good god get them to Africa they could fill up any reservoir in days. AK I am fortunate that my wife is not the least interested in these dramas. She gets her fill with Smap Smap and the like. What amazes me is the amount of network airtime these shows are getting. If you told me 5 years ago that I could turn on the tv almost everyday and find a Korean made drama on tv, I would have thought you were crazy, or a friend of Rob Pongi's.

For what it's worth, I feel your pain. At the gaijin house I'm living in, EVERY night two women here take over the TV, turn up the volume nearly ALLLL the way and watch the show. You can hear the stupid fucking whiney theme song playing throughout the entire building. It's horrible!

Actually, the only two albums I have by them are Seasons in the Abyss (Favorite) and Diabolus in Musica(It's ok, but could have been better.).I've downloaded a few songs of theirs,and Raining Blood and Angel of Death are my favorites.

The only drama I liked was about these housewives who kill one of their husbands and chop him up in the bathroom.. then dump the body parts in the public gomi piles all over the city.. it was fucked, but very interesting.

Thanks to Mr. Sparkle, I have both new blue iPod mini and my old 1st gen iPod. Maybe the new firmware on the mini will take it up to 11.

One of the drama's most famous scenes was shot at Yongpyong, South Korea's most popular ski resort, (also known as the Dragon Valley Ski Resort). And, the magazine reveals, it appears that the the site of the filming just happens to be owned by a newspaper affiliated with the Unification Church.
... Unification Church founder Moon Sun Myong and his wife are said to have made regular trips to Dragon Valley to take part in religious retreats. Now, the magazine alleges that tours to the valley are being handled by a travel agency with close ties to the church.
"Sales began from April of this year," says the source. "Their Tokyo branch alone has sent hundreds of people, mostly women traveling together or married couples."

Winter Sonata alum commits suicide.

He had been caring for his father now he has left dad for fare for himself.

A popular South Korean actor and singer killed himself Wednesday in distress over career pressures while caring for his terminally ill father, police said, the latest in a string of high-profile suicides in the Asian country.

Park Yong-ha, 33, is believed to have "impulsively" hanged himself with the electric cord of his camcorder at his Seoul home hours after he came home intoxicated, Seoul's Gangnam Police Station said in a statement. "We have determined that it's obvious he killed himself," the statement said. No suicide note was found and Park didn't have medical problems such as depression or money troubles, it said.

Police, however, said Park had been under stress because he had to juggle management of his entertainment company and his career while his father was fighting stomach cancer. "I must be sick instead of you, father. I'm sorry. I'm sorry," the police statement quoted Park as tearfully telling his father before his mother later found the entertainer dead in his room.

Park also told acquaintances earlier this week that his work was "difficult and this kind of life is so hard." The actor had been faithfully nursing his 62-year-old father and had been taking sleeping pills due to insomnia, an official at Seoul Metropolitan Agency said, citing Park's mother.

Park debuted in the late 1990s and starred in the 2002 television drama "Winter Sonata," which drummed up a following in Japan and Southeast Asia.

He held several concerts in Japan and released eight CD albums there. One of his fans was said to be Japan's former first lady, Akie Abe.
