Does anybody know anyplace that will send Kobe beef from Japan to the USA?

I got two friends with pregnant wives and I want to give them a present they can use.

Which state are they located in? Some local markets do carry this. I've seen filet mignon cuts sell for about $25 a pound. The online stores usually charge twice this amount.

They are in LA.

Iwant to send them a gift from Japan.
Couldnt think of anything better.

I am at a loss as to what else is a good present for an expecting couple???

I looked into that amazon link. That is probably US kobe beef... I was kinda hoping to send it from Japan.
as far as in Japan I found this link

Im now trying to coerce them to send it for me.

I agree with BB, the baby kimono or Yukata are great "cute" gifts for babies, (getting one for my friends new born, but nothing beats the Misfits :robot: Onsie I found for them)

All shipments of commercially bought food have to be pre-authorized with the USFDA before sending them off. Things like home-baked cookies or canned baby food don't have to be registered, but most everything else does. You might also check with the store you buy the food from to see if they have any experience shipping to the US, since they'll have to do this. Or maybe you can to do the paperwork and supply it to the store.

http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~dms/fsbtact.html, this should give you some more info...

Amazon is definitely the way to go if they do sell the beef. That should be much easier for you.

Alternatively, I guess you could send some dharuma dolls, or maybe a gift pack from condommania, though it's probably a little late for the latter.
