Former New Brunswick John Bosnitch says that living in a small city such as Fredericton is what has given him the skills he needs to do his work.

The Fredericton native has been working in Japan for 15 years. He says he is a communications consultant, but the title belies the job. Mr. Bosnitch works at everything from journalism to media consultation to adviser for the Japanese prime minister.

Gee I thought Bosnitch claimed that he "lives in exile" in Japan, didn't he?

The outspoken consultant and UNB engineering graduate says there is one major difference between himself and Mr. Fischer.

"Bobby Fischer harbours ill feelings for America. I don't harbour any ill feeling for New Brunswick," he says. "I'm still proud to say that I'm from Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada."

I'm not at all surprised. He's clever, articulate, good looking, committed. He's a sharp guy, very principled, very fair and a decent bloke. I thought he may have been after media attention by helping out Bobby Fischer, but he's very sincere.
If you look at what he's been doing over the years, you'll find that he's a pretty straight arrow. I may not agree with everything he says or believes, but he's certainly an admirable person.

Correction, sir. Fischer was routinely stopped, asked to show his passport, they were expecting him, yeh, and HE resisted the officers' instructions. Who is rewriting history here?

JB: Yet, in the last issue of this magazine, Steve Trautlein, who had earlier written an article about Fischer and the struggle to free him (Aug 6, Feature), swept aside a reader's complaint of bias and appeared to want to divert the debate to my own supposedly racist views.

I just figured it out! iF Bobbysan can give one hour long interviews in antisemitaese with equally antisemitic Filipino radio stations while IN DETENTION, then guess what: he is likely being interviewed RIGHT NOW, byt the New York Times boys, inside the jail, and the story will be in the papers soon.
