The clip is from an Australian comedy program "The Late Show" from the early 90's and has dated pretty well except for Tony Martin's clothes. DVD is in my desk at work.

Russell Crowe as "Shirty the Slightly Aggressive Bear" around Romper Stomper time.

Oops! I thought it probably was up somewhere...

I thought the Japanese were talking about what Australians do in Japanese restaurants in Australia, and the subtitles were talking about what tricks the Japanese make the Australians do in Japanese restaurants in Australia. On the one hand you've got a misconception, on the other a practical joke. Maybe I'm wrong, the audio isn't all that clear on my PC.
