I always enjoy seeing the Daibutsu in Kamakura, and when I found out that there was another Daibutsu in Tokyo I just had to go check it out.... The Tokyo Daibutsu is located at Jouren-Ji Temple, about a 20 minute walk from narimasu station on the Tobu Tojo line.>>>more pictures and text....

Careful when your waving your hands over those insence sticks - I got a piece of red-hot ember lodged in my hand at that very shrine about 2 months ago, cause i got distracted by someone talking to me as i attempted to feed some air to the barely burning sticks
..no permament scarring - just blisters and a little tenderness for a few days..

The amount of carp in the pond there is amazing - there must be nearly 100 of them clambering over each other to get to the bread people where feeding them... Sugoi!
