Electronic locks: How To?

Postby American Oyaji » Sat Sep 25, 2004 2:39 am

I've an oppurtunity to make myself some money here.

At the college I'm at, they say it costs 4000 per DOOR to install an electronic lock. keypad or cardswipe...I prefer the keypad method personally.

Anyway, do any of you know anything about electroic lock systems?

I dont think it should costs $4K per door. If I put in a bid of $2000 per door, at a cost of $500 per lock, with $500 for labor, I'll make $1000 per door.

Locks aren't expensive so I'm sure you can beat that price. However, what are your obligations for maintenance etc? What happens if there is a break-in and everyone looks at who installed the locks?
