Now charges of stealing Japanese ODA money are being made.
Wonder what excuse the Japanese government has not to not arrest him?

Peru's former leader Alberto Fujimori has millions of dollars in his bank accounts - far more than he could have earned, an investigation has found.
But last year, prosecutors said they had traced a $150,000 cheque that showed Mr Fujimori had diverted money from Japanese aid agencies to one of his bank accounts in 1996.

Hey, Fujimori was given FAKE* Japanese citizenship so they will never extradite him.




* His Japanese father's "hometown" accepted a Fujimori's 50+ year postdated family registry even though his presidency to Peru required him to not to have Japanese citizenship. Either he was the illlegal president of Peru or he is now an illegal Japanese citizen. However, he has been here in Japan long enough that he could have gotten valid citizenship.

The point is that now, they are proving that Fujimori has actually stolen Japanese aid and diverted it to his personal bank account.
So even though he is a Fake Japanese citizen, he is still punishable under Japanese law.
Bet we won't see this mentioned at all in the Japanese media.
Well, maybe on the Mainichi English site but it will probably never go into print or be uttered in the Japanese language by any JP media!
Mentioning it would be unthinkable by the mass media FAKES in this country that dare to apply the term "journalist" to the work they do!

Thing is, if this is truly ODA money he has ripped off, any single citizen can file charges with the NPA and have him indicted on charges of embezzlement of tax payers money.
Hopefully a Japanese national will file charges against him here.

Thousands of investors were bilked in a scam that involved unwitting celebrities.

A well-connected con artist raked in billions of yen by pulling the wool over the eyes of would-be investors and some big-name politicians, sources said Friday.

Liberal Democratic Party Secretary-General Shinzo Abe and former Peruvian President Alberto Fujimori were among those conned, the sources said.

About 3,000 people were bilked out of nearly 10 billion yen by a group headed by Toshio Yabuki, according to a bankruptcy trustee for his jewelry sales company in Tokyo.

Yabuki was arrested Thursday. His firm, Grand Capital, went belly up in October 2002.

Abe and others were invited to attend a party and other events in the group's bid to make its scams appear credible. They include illegal pyramid-scheme sales of jewelry and health foods, sources said.
