Anybody know an internet digital photo printing service?

Postby omae mona » Tue Oct 05, 2004 4:33 pm

Back in the U.S. I came to the conclusion that online printing services like ofoto and shutterfly were
    * Cheaper than printing from a desktop inkjet photo printer, taking into account the outrageous costs of ink and paper.
    * Way better quality than inkjet.
so I became a big fan. Always was convenient and high-quality, so I was happy as long as I could wait wait a week for the photos to arrive in the mail.

Can anybody recommend any similar services local to the land o' concrete? I have been going to local photo places, or Familymart kiosks, but this involves getting out of my chair and going for a walk, which is severely hampering my ass enlargement project.

You're damn right about photo stores provide, "Cheaper ...Way better quality than inkjet."

There has got to be a zillion copy-cat services in Japan.

I've got a new 20-in iMac G5 coming to the house in a couple weeks from Apple Japan. I know it will come with a few introductory specials for iPhoto Japan, Fuji Photo, etc. I'll tell how those Japanese services work out for me when I use their freebie coupons.

Since Apple sites use the same template for Apple Japan and Apple US products, opening up the iPhoto site for each country side by side reduces my translation/reading time. Ordering via iPhoto is easy with one-click set up...soon you can have an ass as enlarged as mine. 8)

Thank you, Taro-san and Big Booger-san. Well, now I have two great choices. Iphoto is a 210 yen setup plus 37 yen per photo, and probably shows up at the door a little more quickly. ColorCoral may be the way to go for more than a handful of photos if I can wait the extra delivery time. The 9 cent charge for 4x6 makes up for the $3.99 shipping (compared to Iphoto) pretty quickly. I also like the fact that ColorCoral has plenty of info (which I couldn't find on iphoto) about what kind of equipment & paper they're using.

I'm going to to try these out, and I'll offer anybody autographed 8x10 glossies of my growing ass - at cost - if interested.
