..."I China is "very dangerous," he thunders. Japan's critics are "just jealous." Tokyo's bloody 1930s and 1940s campaigns saved Asia from colonization by "white people."...

The one thing I'd like these uyoku fucktards to explain to me is why, if they were liberating Asia, did all of the colonized put aside their differences and team up with the colonizers to fight off the Japanese.

Not this family of fucktards in Ginza and Kyoto: NAIR'S the first "purveyor of AUTHENTIC curry in Japan.

Long ago, Mr. Gopalan M Nair, son of the famed Japanese-Indian freedom fighter Ayyappan M Nair, regaled me with his father's stories on how Japan freed Asia and won the war. Now grandson Nair offers their vile curry without the creative history lessons. :?

There are exceptions to every rule. There was a pro-Japan movement in India but that's probably because they were never occupied (unless you include Burma since I believe that was part of British India at the time).

I had an English friend that traveled in Myanmar and he was expecting the Burmese to hate the Brits. But he said they generally loved them because their main comparisons in recent history are the Japanese invasion and SLORC or whateve the hell they're calling themselves now.

Actually quite a lot of the post WWII East Asian leadership believed, at the time that, Japan, under the sham of the Co-Prosperity Sphere was going to rid Asia of the colonial powers (Britain, France, the US and the Dutch), so they went along with the idea, forgetting to read the fine print that said yes Imperial Japan was ridding the East of the Western powers, but the new colonial power in the region was to be Japan.
Quite a few Japanese soldiers stayed on in Indonesia and Malaysia after the war to fight with the "freedom fighters" in kicking out the Dutch &
British.
Needless to say this never applied to China nor Korea!
That someone (apparently well-educated and in a position of power--no neeed to mention names) would occasionally spout off to the press in this day and age about the "good ol' days"--well that tells you a lot about that person, doesn't it?

Some of these ideas were explored in "War Without Mercy". The idea of a racial minority fighting against Ishihara's "White people" (Russia in 1905, then the U.S. in 41-45) dispelled the thought that they could never win against the colonizers. The Co-Prosperity sphere might have worked if it wasn't the Japanese who were implementing it. From the looks of the dragon, China may be making their own attempt in the near future

Yeah, Ishihara is nothing more than a right wing fool which says a lot for the Tokyoites that voted him into office. The circumstances in which he provided the AUM nutters with a lot of money should also be made public and he should be charged with financing their terrorist activities. This is one of the reasons he was forced to resign from the political world.

how the fuck could the Japanese beat the "white man"? ok lets just say they fought England and England didnt have the great Third Reich on its heels then England would have kicked ass and so would have America. Thing is most of their forces were fighting the much greater strength Germany.
Sure the Japanese were dedicated fanatic soldiers in WW2 but beating the "white man" just aint going to happen.
That fuck in Tokyo is obviously is a nut.

I think there are a few people in mainland that might like to meet our good friend Ishi-chan. Whatever, he's an old fuck, he will kick it soon enough... only to be replaced by a younger asshole that dooms Japanese Asian relations for even longer.

Many southeast Asian countries in a remarkable display of realpoltik hedged their bets and supported and fought against the Japanese. The old arguement that the Japanese were liberating SE Asia, was believed by absolutely no one in the Japanese military during WWII especially since they spent most of the war pillaging the countries they conquered. The only thing they liberated in Asia was people from their possessions and property.

yes we did.

but we also bought a better way of life. and idea on how to be free. technology in all the forms. its called "western civilisation".
yeah I know we are known as racist conquering cunts. ah but we did do great things.........many many great things. Just that most non-whites wish not to see it. Same as that Tokyo mayor. Ok he talks shit about the white man but it was the "German White Man" that gave them all their technology thru the war. Very hypocritical for the Japanese to say shit about the white man.
I remember this dickhead oyaji in this sushi restaurant was drunk and going on about America and how Japanese actually did win the war (Im Australian btw) blah blah blah.....I didnt have to say anything as my Japanese friend (a Dr) went off his nut at him. But I said to my J friend "I cannot understand.....I could have been German...how would he know?".

Most Japanese are pretty cool. But there are those dumb pricks who are not racist but just ignorant.

Quite true, they took land away from the evil land owners and divided it up and let the people that worked it buy it at a reasonable price.
I now live on a very large section of that land and probably wouldn't be if they had not reamed the greedy bastards that had it in the first place.
Sounds almost socialistic does it not?

Here's more on the Nair family and links with Bose...

India Abroad: The Man Who Knew Netaji
...In the late nineteen sixties and early nineteen seventies, no Indian visitor could have missed the small Indian restaurant in Higashi Ginza in Tokyo, right across the Kabuki theatre...Every Indian visitor to the restaurant got the first meal free, but subsequent visits were purely on business terms...Nairsan told us the story of his life, not at one sitting, but over the next two years, when we got to know him and his wife...We became even closer when my mother-in-law arrived. Nairsan commissioned her to find a suitable bride for his son, Gopalan.
Gopalan, Nairsan's second son, surprised us when he introduced himself to us, as he looked totally Japanese, with no sign of his Indian genes. But Nairsan was absolutely insistent that Gopalan should marry from Kerala, failing which he had to forego his entire inheritance. It was not an empty threat as Nairsan had already disinherited his elder son, Vasudevan, who had married a Japanese girl. Unlike Gopalan, Vasudevan looked more Indian than Japanese. We asked him as to how he could insist on such things, particularly since he had not married a Keralite himself...Nairsan came to Japan as a medical student. After he had learnt the Japanese language well [he] married a Japanese girl
...Nairsan told us he had made it a rule not to have anything to do with the embassy of India in Japan on account of the shabby treatment meted out to him by the Government of India after Netaji's disappearance in mysterious circumstances. Nairsan expected to be appointed the first Indian ambassador to Japan, but the highest post he was offered was that of the consul general in Kobe. Nairsan turned down the offer and decided to become an entrepreneur...more...
